Privacy policy

This covers Walking Vespers, the walks site for Liz Lawrence’s album Vespers. It’s run by Liz Lawrence and her team (“we”). If you have any questions, email lizlawrence@biglifemanagement.com.

What we collect

You can browse the site without giving us anything. When you send a photo, we collect the photo, your name, your email address and any caption you write. If you join the mailing list, either with the sign-up form on the home page or by ticking the box when you send a photo, we collect your email address and record when you joined and the wording you agreed to.

Your photo

• Your photo, name and caption are shown publicly in that walk’s gallery once a person on our team has approved them, and may be reshared on Liz Lawrence’s channels. We rely on your consent for this, given by ticking the box when you send the photo.
• Your email is never shown publicly. We use it to contact you about your photo, for example to credit you or to ask before reposting.
• We remove location and camera data from every photo when it’s uploaded.

The mailing list (optional)

• You can join Liz Lawrence’s mailing list with the sign-up form on the home page, or by ticking the box when you send a photo. It’s always a separate choice: you can send a photo without joining, and the box is never ticked for you.
• If you join, we add your email (and your name, if you sent a photo) to Liz Lawrence’s mailing list for news, new music and tour dates. You’ll get an email asking you to confirm first, and you won’t be added until you do.
• The list is run on Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.), which stores it for us and may process it in the United States under its own safeguards for international transfers. Mailchimp’s privacy notice is at intuit.com/privacy.
• Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us to be removed. Unsubscribing doesn’t affect your photo, and having a photo declined doesn’t affect your subscription.

How long we keep it

If a photo isn’t approved, we delete it with its caption, and your name and email unless you joined the mailing list. Approved photos stay up for the life of the project unless you ask us to take them down. Mailing-list details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your consent, at any time by emailing lizlawrence@biglifemanagement.com. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
